Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026
Birdspiracy AI Competition 2026 is a free national AI competition for students in Classes 9–12.
Participants identify a real problem in their community, design an AI-based solution, and present their idea in a 4–6 slide pitch deck. No coding is required.
Students from 60+ schools across 18 states are already participating.
Eligibility
Open to students in Classes 9–12. The competition is designed primarily for Indian students but is open internationally. Prizes are paid in INR.
Students may participate individually or in teams of up to 4 members.
Entry Fee
Free
Prize Pool — ₹50,000
- 1st Place: ₹25,000
- 2nd Place: ₹15,000
- 3rd Place: ₹10,000
Judge
Entries will be judged by Dr. M.H. Balakrishnaiah, former ISRO scientist, PhD from IISc Bengaluru, and former Member Secretary of the Karnataka State Coastal Zone Management Authority.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated based on:
- Understanding of the problem
- Quality and relevance of the proposed AI solution
- Clarity and effectiveness of the presentation
Certificates
Every student who submits a complete entry will receive a Certificate of AI Innovation, signed by Dr. M.H. Balakrishnaiah and the Birdspiracy founders.
The top three teams will receive special winner certificates.
