Black and White Photo Awards 2026

The Black & White Photo Awards 2026 continues its mission to recognize and reward exceptional talent in black and white photography. With five thematic categories — Architecture, Street, Wildlife, Portrait, and Landscape — and a new Open Theme category (6 in total), photographers from around the world have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and vision in monochrome art.

In this fifth edition, the contest increases the value of its main prize to €1,500 for the absolute winner and €200 for each of the 6 winners in the different categories.

Open to both professional and amateur photographers worldwide, this photo competition offers international recognition and the opportunity to display the prestigious Black and White Photo Awards hallmark. Winning images from past editions can be explored at bwphotoawards.com.

A distinguished jury of leading black & white photographers —including Julia Anna Gospodarou, Charles Paul Azzopardi, Joel Tjintjelaar, Kazutoshi Kawakami, and Néstor Rodan— returns to select the best images, ensuring a fair and high-level evaluation.
